As a Sr. Permitting Specialist you will review the work of several staff members. They are mid level permitting specialists. You will report to the Natural Resources Division Manger; which will provide opportunities to coordinate and work closely with the other biologists within the Los Angeles Basin.

Briefly, you would be performing the following duties on a regular basis.

1. Supervised marketing and business development related to watershed planning, wetland construction / restoration, and regulatory permitting.

2. You would be a core member of a team of specialists that would work on Wetlands and Stream restoration in the western United States. This team includes a hydrologists/civil engineer, restoration ecologist, wildlife biologist, and fisheries biologist.

<br/><br/><b>Job Description:</b><br/>  URS Acoustics and Noise Control group is part of the Environmental Compliance division in Santa Ana, California, which consists of 40 engineers and scientists. This division provides noise and vibration services, as well as air quality, water quality, and hazardous waste compliance support to Fortune 500 companies and federal, state and local government clients. The noise group analyzes noise exposure and noise effects using manual and computer modeling methods for transportation, machinery, mechanical, power transmission/generation, building noise control, and architectural acoustics. We are currently looking for a Noise Engineer to support noise/vibration tasks, including conducting field noise/vibration measurements, assessment and documentation of noise sources, meteorological and site conditions, reduction and analysis of data, performing computerized noise modeling, preparing noise report sections, and conducting regulatory research. This position will involved short-term noise sampling and multi-month, continuous measurement programs utilizing a variety of instrumentation and analysis techniques. Responsibility will increase with more experience in the field of noise/vibration analysis and control. Deliver environmental services in environmental science, geology, data processing, and laboratory work.

Assist in environmental assessment and remediation projects.

Assist in field investigations, including mapping, drilling, sampling, testing, and monitoring well installation.

Prepare reports and data analysis.

Data compiliation, processing and interpretation.
