Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering field Minimum 15 years extensive and diverse experience in bridge design projects Must have the ability to obtain Texas PE within 6 months of hire Must have experience with steel bridge design and detailing. Must have experience producing plans, specifications and estimates for major bridge projects. Must have proficiency in the use of computer programs such as PRSTRS14, CAP18, STAAD, PCACOL, DESCUS, MDX, or other equivalent design software. Must have experience and ability to manage people, projects, budgets and schedule Must have good written and verbal skills Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States

Job Description :
In this position, you will be a key manager in the Engineering Group in the Dallas office responsible for managing the structures design group. In this position you will be responsible for leading the structures staff in the design of highway, railroad or transit bridges including concrete, steel, prestressed concrete, and post-tensioned concrete. You will also manage the design of structural facilities as necessary. You will manage the preparation and review of design calculations, plans, technical specifications, inspection of bridges, building assessments, shop drawing reviews and quantity calculations. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining budgets and schedules, leading staff engineers, addressing technical issues and the delivery of structural projects to high technical standards. You will assist in building on teamwork and technical staff development on some of the most challenging and complex transportation design projects in the North Texas Area. Responsibilities / Objectives Manage structural project work load including assignment and supervision of tasks to staff engineers, and management of structural budgets, schedules, and deliverables. As a technical leader you will provide guidance to staff engineers on all major structural design issues and undertake technical work associated with structural bridge design with specific reference to the use and application of relevant design codes; Deliver structural designs, plans and specifications on assigned projects successfully, be accountable for project planning and management; and provide the required support to project teams in the delivery of satisfactory outcomes to the Client; Lead, manage, and mentor junior engineers in the design of structural projects; Assist with the marketing pursuit of roadway and transit projects with structural components including client meetings, proposal input and participation in presentations leading to the successful capture of additional roadway and transit work; ?Coordinate with and provide engineering support for Transit, Roadway and/or Facility Designers and other disciplines requiring structural design services; Accountable for the delivery of the projects documentation to the high standards of URS and the Client, within specified timeframes; ::
