Minimum Requirements :
A minimum of 5 years experience in scheduling that includes: critical path method of project scheduling, proficient in P3 (Primavera), ability to utilize Digger, or similar type program, and ability to review the Initial Design Schedules, Initial Construction Schedules, Monthly Progress Schedule updates and COD/Claim Schedule analysis for the following: - Be able to review activity duration for reasonableness - Check to insure that required actions are included - Review reports and specifications for compliance Must be able to attend progress meetings, as required and ability to review contract time extension requests. Perform scheduling duties for project, review initial design schedules, initial construction schedules, monthly progress schedule updates, and COD/Claim schedule analysis. The candidate requires strong communication skills for this position, daily client communication, acceptable writing abilities, and selling abilities-needs the ability to relay complex information in an understandable manner-written, oral, and through data bases. This position does not require industry-related (engineering consulting) experience. The right candidate could develop in marketing and in laying the groundwork to provide this type of support to a wide range of public and private sector clients.

Job Description :
This position will provide Contract administration scheduling support on various facets of construction scheduling for approximately 25 Projects in the Anchorage Office. Review Initial Project Schedules and evaluate content in relation to contract specifications, provide internal client technical analysis. Prepare draft serial letter responses to contractors on schedule related subjects. Assist in processing monthly progress payments and related schedules. Review and troubleshoot discrepancies between schedules and RMS. Interface with contractor personnel and assist client personnel and contractors in meeting contract scheduling requirements. Provide support on implementation of various Primavera software interfaces and compatibility with contractor provided schedules. Review, analyze, and provided documentation, findings of fact on contract modifications and time impact/delay claims. Develop and conducted CPM scheduling training classes including Scheduling Principles & Initial Project Schedule Review. Attend various meetings including preconstruction, monthly progress review meetings, and meetings involving time impact issues, initial project schedule and various others. Interface with field personnel on deficiencies and issues related to monthly progress payments, contract modifications and scheduling time impacts and delays. Routinely make site visits for field verification of project progress and schedule coordination. Assist QAR's in troubleshooting schedule deficiencies, progress issues and provide technical schedule analysis. The skills this candidate might utilize, expand upon, or build working in this position include construction, scheduling, presentation abilities. The kind of projects this candidate might get involved with for this position include a wide range of Military Construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities projects. The team of people this candidate will primarily be working with is the government client team (engineers, construction managers) and contractors performing construction. The direct report to for this position is the URS Alaska Engineering Group Leader. This is a one deep position. This position is considered a key client requirement and will expose the incumbent to many high level/distinguished visitors, numerous cutting-edge projects for National Defense, and the URS staff in Alaska and supporting offices. The construction workload this individual will be performing supporting work for the client is interesting and complex, and will provide enormous challenge and resultant job satisfaction. ::
