Job Description :
Position Summary
The Graduate Environmental Engineer will be allocated project tasks ranging from field work to office based data management, analysis, and preparation of reports as directed by Project Managers. Field work will include but may not be limited to the sampling of soil and groundwater, supervision of subcontractors, and operation and maintenance of remediation systems. This work is likely to extend to sites within the metropolitan area and also within the broader regional area. On occasion, project work may extend interstate. This work may be performed individually or as part of field and project teams. It is expected that each allocated tasks will be completed within the time and budget limits specified by the respective Project Manager.
Responsibilities / Objectives
. Assistance with multi-disciplined environmental and engineering studies
. Undertaking field investigation programs and being part of field teams.
. Complete installation of groundwater monitoring wells
. Complete soil and groundwater sampling
. Liaison with analytical laboratories
. Preparation and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Plans
. Budget and time management
. Writing technical reports for review by senior technical staff
. Deliver project services in accordance with Health & Safety systems, including audit programs
. Being trained and mentored by more experienced staff
. Assistance with tenders and proposals
. Participate in workgroup initiatives including technical activities
. Perform other related duties from time to time, provided that they are consistent with your skills, competencies and expertise
