Minimum Requirements :
? Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering field ? Minimum 10 years extensive and diverse experience in major roads, highways and/or transit planning projects ? Texas PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months ? Thorough working knowledge and understanding of MicroStation and Geopak software to develop horizontal and vertical alignments ? Experience developing schematic plans for highway and/or transit planning projects. ? Experience producing environmental documents - Environmental Assessments (EA), and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for highway and/or transit planning projects. ? Must have actively participated in Public Meetings and Public Hearings ? Experience with TxDOT related projects ? Must have good written and verbal skills ? Must be legally authorized to work for any employer

Job Description :
In this position, the qualified applicant - will be one of the key personnel of the Surface Transportation group in the Dallas office responsible for managing and growing the transportation planning group, - will pursue new work as well as address technical issues and be accountable for the delivery of transportation planning projects to high technical standards, and - will assist in building on teamwork and technical staff development on some of the most challenging and complex transportation planning projects in the North Texas Area. Responsibilities / Objectives ? Deliver schematic plans and environmental documentation on assigned projects successfully, be accountable for project planning and management; and provide the required support to project teams in the delivery of satisfactory outcomes to the Client; ? Manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables and undertake technical work associated with highway, railroad, and transit design with specific reference to the use and application of relevant design geometry software; ? Assist with the marketing pursuit of planning projects including client meetings, proposal input and participation in presentations leading to the successful capture of additional transportation planning work and the growth of the planning group; ? Lead, manage, and mentor junior engineers and environmental scientist in the planning of transportation projects; ?
