Minimum Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years technical/design drafting training and five years experience performing pipeline mapping using ESRI software (ESRI 9.1 or higher), specifically the Arc GIS suite (Arc Catalog, Arc Map, Arc Toolbox)to perform GIS data conversion/editing, GIS map production utilizing a spatial database. The position requires: . Experience performing GIS data conversion/editing, GIS map production, spatial database management, and spatial analysis/reporting tasks. . Experience in designing, creating, editing, and maintaining, geodatabases and metadata for numerous projects. . Strong QA/QC experience. . Ability to identify new GIS project opportunities inside and outside the company. . Ability to work in a team environment, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate clearly, and handle challenging task with a problem solving approach.

Job Description :
The Pipeline Mapping Designer at this level will design pipeline alignment sheets, land plats, and permit drawings with minimal supervision. Tasks will include: - developing drawings using survey data and aerial imagery. - creating and understanding the process for cutting alignment sheets. - developing pipeline routes and creating pipeline profiles using electronic survey data. - manipulating data between CAD and GIS. - understanding pipeline, highway, railroad, river, and utility crossing permits. - creating land plats from centerline, deed, and legal descriptions. ::
