The Oakland office of URS is seeking an experienced environmental scientist or environmental planner to assist in the preparation of NEPA documents. Responsibilities will include writing and managing Environmental Assessments and Categorical Exclusions, producing and delivering documents, status reporting, facilitating meetings with clients and regulatory agencies, scoping projects, tracking schedule and budget, and controlling quality of work. The selected candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously and utilize a general working knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the National Historic Preservation Act, the Endangered Species Act, and other laws/executive orders analyzed as part of the NEPA process. He/she will work in a multi-disciplinary team environment, travel and work in a demanding client environment requiring deliverables.
