Education: BS, Electrical Engineering License: Alabama PE, ability to obtain registration in Mississippi and Louisiana.

Experience:
15 years progressive experience (including managing projects/QA/QC) as an industrial facilities electrical design engineer. Candidate must have industrial engineering design experience in a variety of aspects, including power distribution, motor control, etc. Basic office applications experience include word processing, spreadsheets, AutoCad, SKM PowerTools and/or Easy Power. Candidate needs to have ability to travel occasionally in the Southeastern United States to work in other offices or field locations for periods up to three weeks. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including marketing and business development experience (proposal writing, presentations, etc.) are required. Prior supervisory skills necessary.

Job Description :
The URS Mobile, Alabama office needs an Electrical Engineering Department lead engineer who will have varied electrical engineering tasks, including E/I practice team leadership, assisting with marketing and sales; managing electrical design projects; directing, supervising and monitoring electrical drafting and engineering staff; developing design packages for client review and bidding; writing and interpreting construction specifications; assisting with construction activities; reviewing submittals; evaluating bids; performing electrical calculations, including voltage drop, conductor ampacity, lighting levels; and instrumentation and control system development and detailed designs, including DCS interfaces, instrument specifications, and control system architecture. Typical projects include water, stormwater and sanitary pumping stations, aircraft hangars and maintenance facilities, airfield lighting, solid waste facilities, refineries, chemical plants, and pulp and paper mills. Candidate will be responsible for managing junior/senior electrical engineers and will work with drafters and administrative staff. ::
