Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in hydrology and hydraulics and five years experience with progressively increased responsibility. Experience working within the railroad industry is required. Registered PE or ability to obtain within one year. Experience in Microstation, AutoCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-1, HEC-2, CUHP, UDWSWM, Excel and Word. Valid Driver's License required.

Job Description :
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing drainage studies and preparing reports related to the replacement and rehabilitation of railroad bridge and culvert structures. The individual should be experienced in flood control, stormwater analysis, hydraulic modeling and design, surface runoff, river engineering, erosion control, and scour analysis. Prior experience performing and managing drainage studies is required. The individual must have a solid understanding of USCOE and FEMA requirements as it relates to hydrology and hydraulics analyses. The individual must possess excellent organizational skills and be driven to provide excellent quality service and have excellent technical, as well as verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of railroad drainage projects involving both new construction and maintenance of existing bridges and culverts as well as studying and developing solutions for problematic drainage situations. The work would entail conceptual studies, preliminary design, and final design. The individual will be a member of the Railroad Team composed of Railroad Project Managers, Railroad Bridge Engineers, as well as Track/Civil Engineers, and Technicians. This team will have between 6 to 12 members. In addition, the individual will work directly with members from other departments as it relates to environmental permitting. ::
