Minimum Requirements :
Fifteen years experience in Electrical Engineering design of industrial, commercial facilities, ports & marine projects, or related industries. Must be a registered electrical engineer in the state of California. Thorough knowledge of NEC requirements and NFPA familiarity. Basic office applications experience including word processing, spreadsheets, AutoCad, and SKM Power tools.
Job Description :
This work involves all aspects of the electrical design from the conception through detailed engineering; assists with project and tasks management; directs and supervises all electrical engineering activities. The successful candidate will: ? Lead projects requiring support staff under his/her direction and be responsible for budget and schedule for the electrical scope of work of projects in the Huntington Beach Office ? Be responsible for managing junior/senior electrical engineers and will work with drafters and administrative staff. ? Estimate manpower needs and schedule and assign work to meet completion date and budgets ? Make decisions independently on electrical engineering problems and methods, and serves as the technical specialist for the office in the application of advance theories, concepts, principles or process for electrical engineering ? Be knowledgeable in the preparation of complete quality packages for the engineering, procurement, and construction of electrical systems for our Client ? Work on various projects that involve low to high voltage site and building electrical distribution; interface with numerous disciplines and systems; prepares calculations, sketches, and specifications ? Work on the planning and design of container, bulk, and crude oil terminals, industrial and commercial facilities, marinas, and other public and private projects ? Be responsible for control of work-in-process, ensures accurate and timely client billings, and monitors outstanding receivable and collection efforts in his/her projects ? Participate in proposal and contract preparation, interview, presentation, and negotiation of engineering agreements. URS has many great opportunities for growth.
