Minimum Requirements :
. B.Eng. in Civil, Environmental Engineering/B.Sc. in Physical Science Discipline . Meet qualification requirements for Professional Registration (Association of Professional Engineers, Geologist, and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA), Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (ASPB), etc.) . Background in soil and groundwater characterisation/assessment, hydrogeology, contaminant chemistry, and reclamation/remediation. . Focus on teamwork and integration within multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of technically challenging projects. . Ability to work independently and manage subcontractors while in the field. . Strong communication skills with co-workers, clients and subcontractors; field documentation essential.

Job Description :
. Take on project tasks, field and office related, as assigned by your Practice Leader, or designated Project Manager, serving a variety of clients in western and northern Canada. . Requires outdoor work in all weather conditions typical of Alberta. . Typical tasks include: a. field task including monitoring and sampling of soil, groundwater, and air, borehole advancement and completion as monitoring wells, b. office and desktop exercises including tabulation of monitoring and analytical data, assisting with reporting writing, internal/external correspondence and regulatory documents. . Work under the framework provided by Alberta Environment and Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME). . Commit to a training regime related to obtaining professional registration. . Commitment to URS's Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) program. . This position will require travel to urban and remote rural sites within the scope of our operations in the country and those of our clients. Own vehicle is an asset for local work (compensation through "mileage"). . Ultimately, this role can lead to increasing levels of project responsibility, technical leadership, and project coordination/management. ::
