The minimum time commitment for this role is 18 months, after which the candidate will return to the El Segundo office to work on a broad range on environmental compliance and possibly site investigation/remediation projects. These projects will primarily be with private sector clients located in the greater Los Angeles area. The candidate will be expected to manage job tasks and projects, and to assist with or lead proposal efforts.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to utilize their communications and organizational skills. They will be encouraged to have direct coordination with workers throughout the client facility, as well as interaction with regulators. The candidate will be encouraged to help develop new project opportunities and new client relationships, especially upon return to the El Segundo office after completion of the initial assignment. Strong verbal and written communication are key to the success of this position. The candidate must be persistent and work with others in a cooperative fashion.
Projects include preparing applications for air quality permits with the SCAQMD, as well as creating reports and helping to maintain records that document compliance with existing regulations. Occasionally, the candidate will be requested to examine the potential implications of pending air quality regulations.
